If she wins, Natalie Campbell will be the first female and the first openly gay mayor of London.

Campbell, who's currently the co-CEO of sustainable water company Belu Water, is running as an independent candidate to replace Sadiq Khan, who's stepping down after four years.

If elected, Campbell says she'll work to make London "a place where no one is left behind, where everyone has a voice, where there is a sense of belonging, and where everyone can work together to tackle the most important issues of our time," CNN reports.

Campbell, a Harvard graduate, worked for Prince William and Princess Kate's charities before joining Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's organization, Sussex Royal.

She's promised to create 40,000 affordable homes, end youth homelessness, and continue free school meals for children under 22 if she's elected mayor, Hello! reports.
